The Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle is a Grade 1 National Hunt Hurdle race that is run over the new course at Cheltenham on the final day of the festival. It is one of the longer races at 3 miles long with 12 hurdles to be jumped. The race is open to novice hurdlers aged 4 years or older. Notable winners include Penhill and Unowhatimeanharry in recent years. The race was won by 50-1 shot Minella Indo in 2019.
The Albert Bartlett is a difficult one for punters. Only 2 of the last 12 favourites have won this race and winners from the top 3 in the betting are 3 from 12. The last 3 winners have been priced 50-1, 33-1 and 16-1, so that tells have tough it is to pick a winner in this one.
Ramses De Teillee
At 12-1 Ramses De Teillee looks over priced. He won his last 2 races and has a previous win at Cheltenham under his belt. He looks like the Grand National is the race he’s being geared up for, but I wouldn’t bet against him turning up here and winning. He’s certainly a great EW shot as he should be there or thereabouts. He’s got bags of stamina and has won on both heavy and good ground.

Latest Exhibition
Latest Exhibition seems to improve with every run. He has performed far better over the longer trip and expect him to deal with the hill at Cheltenham with no problem. His victory over the previously unbeaten Andy Dufresne on 15th December was of particular note There is plenty for to come from Latest Exhibition and this looks like the race that he can do it in. 6-1 might be a bit short, but he’s worth chancing.
